As anyone who has stapled cable with a cable tacker (like the venerable Arrow T-25) knows, even the most careful installer can ruin a length of cable with a misplaced staple through the sheath. I did that today on a run between three floors due to crappy staple gun that I got from Jameco. Before I repulled the cable I stopped by Home Depot to get a new staple gun. I decided to try the Powerfast Cable Tacker which offsets the staples tines from the cable eliminating staple through accidents. I was skeptical but gave it a try. The job flew with this thing. If you have to tack cable check it out.
