I hope this is the place to post this. I have used some IP network surveillance cameras (expensive) and have played around with the X10 toy cameras. I want to run the appropriate wiring to use about 4 cameras around the new house I am building. I have found a lot of information regarding CCTV cameras and DVRs - so much, I don't know which way to turn since I have no experience with them. Could someone point me in right direction for the following? Thanks!
- best overall color bullet (weather/water proof) camera
- power/video Siamese cable
- type of cable if I decide to hang a PTZ camera in place of a bullet
- the latest DVRs with built in multiplexers
