Symantec Client Firewall Fails to Start


We are currently using symantec client security 2.0 which has AV and Firewall. Every now and again, for some reason, on random workstations client firewall will fail to start. For some reason this stops the user from viewing any sites that use SSL.

If we open client firewall from the start menu it opens but the system status shows all the security options as having been disabled. We have to then run "c:\\Program Files\\Common Files\\Symantec Shared\\ccApp.exe". Which enables all the options.

I can't see any reason for this, and its a bit worrying as it leaves the workstation up to attack.

Any help would be much appreciated.
