About this time last month I noticed a few port probes that came as a TCP and UDP pair in quick succession attacking port 7950. The frequency of the attacks seems to be increasing - I've seen 8 sets in my firewall log in the last 24 hours.
What are these probes? I've searched Google but haven't found any explanation as yet.
An update on these probes.
They seem to come in waves. I saw the first batch on 7th March. The next batch came through on 28th and 29th March. The last batch seen here came through on the 9th and 10th April.
The days specified are in Eastern Australia. Depending on your time zone you would see them perhaps a day earlier.
