Is D-LINK DVG-1402S good enough to protect my small home network?

Hi!

I just got a D_LINK DVG-1402S/L VOIP router for my home network with 5 computers. Is its default setting good enough to protect me? Do I need to install additional personal firewall for each PC? How to configure the DVG-1402S for maximum protection?

I do not host any server or something. The high speed internet is only used for surfing web, reading Email and internet news.

Your help are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Based on the above statement, the D-Link should be good enough to protect your situation. If the router has logging, then you should implement it and use logviewer to watch inbound and outbound traffic to/from the router to possible dubious remote IP(s).
