I am having a weird problem. I have stopped the checkpoint firewall on IPSO on the nokia platform. When I do a traceroute to the firewall from an external host, I get replies to the echo sent to the firewall by traceroute but when I traceroute to a host inside the firewall, the IPSO box does not reply to echos. I have stopped the firewall and unloaded any rules. I am not able to understand why is it not reply to echo requests?
