Fortigate 100A gateway-to-gateway VPN configuration

Hi all,

I have 2 x Fortigate 100As, the IP address on the wan interfaces us dynamic IP addresses on both boxes (although the IPs don't change for very long period of time - like either months/years). We use dyndns.org to give it a "fixed" and readible reference point for the not so technical IT managers.

Now, my question is: Is there any easy way to create a vpn connection between the internal interfaces between the 2 firewall boxes? Can the dynamic DNS entries be used on both boxes?

I've tried to follow the Fortinet instructions and I could successfully get the tunnel up using the dynamic dns entry on one side and fixed ip address on the other. But there was no network communication between the 2 networks.

Does anyone have a set of instructions which would actually work which you could share?

Thanks.

James
