If it were my PC I'd want to format the drive and reinstall the operating system or a backup image.

Assuming you're not going to do that then a good start would be removing the trojan found in this list.

This isn't really a firewall question so it's best to take it to one of the many forums which can help you with the problem.

I would also advise you not to remain connected to the Internet with the computer in that state.

Print the hijackthis analysis if you have a printer and then disconnect the cable modem until the problems are fixed. Find someone else who knows how to fix it if necessary.

A bit of searching suggests that ptsnoop.exe _could_ be a false detection and not really a trojan. Since there's no way to be certain I would wipe the drive and reinstall.

With a search on google for the process ptsnoop it yielded -

Description: ptsnoop.exe is a part of the PCTel configuration tool for their brand of PCI modems. This program is a non-essential process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems.

Could be the culprit, but sounds like it is a "tool" as well.

knows? Who cares? The OP is just one of countless millions of Windows users who do not know what is running in their system or what it is doing.
