When you are on a website and you automatically get out of the site and you are enterd in an unknown site or when your google, yahoo, msn or any other search engine search results are redirected to other sites, this means your pc has a browser hijacker, to solve this problem, see this guidline

not all manual removal tools are bogus

I didn't say they were. Besides, whether they are or not doesn't change anything about the issue. At all.
