Bandwidth-sharing and statistics-collection

Get a 24 port managed switch and then connect each house to a it's own port, then you can watch load, byte count on send/recv, etc....

Hi!

We're 20 neighbours sharing a DSL. I need some kind of tool or utility to monitor (and preferably also restrict) bandwidth usage from the different computers in the network to the internet. If possible I also want statistics on every IP or MAC-address for upload- and download-amounts.

Suggestions?

Best regards Roald

If you are using Linux the ntop program can monitor the bandwidth usage.

Regards.
