TOSA mounting.

I have a project that will be transmitting 10,000 analog signals of bandwidth 1.5 GHz a distance of 3 km. I had thought about using individual laser diodes in TOSA packages to do this.

I have never used the TOSA scheme. What holds the fiber's ferrule against the lens in the TOSA package?

I tried posting this once before but I'll try again - The same mechanism that holds two fiber end faces together in a mated pair (i.e. two connectors in a panel mount adapter or coupler). The TOSA has ceramic alignment sleeve the has a snug fit to the inserted ferrule, but the connector will have the mechanism to lock it in place it a pre-determined by design pressure- which causes physical contact between end face pairs or end face to TOSA optics.
