Which vlan does it belong to? - CatOS 4006.

Seeing the output below where do you think the port 6/47 has gone?

VLAN Name Status IfIndex Mod/Ports, Vlans

---- -------------------------------- --------- ------- ------------------------

1 default active 6 1/1-2 2/1-48 3/31-48 4/1-48 6/1-42 10 VLAN10 active 107 3/9-12 20 VLAN20 active 157 3/1-8 30 VLAN30 active 158 3/13-16 40 VLAN40 active 208 3/17-22 50 VLAN50 active 211 3/23-30 60 VLAN60 active 207 6/43-46,6/48 1002 fddi-default active 7 1003 token-ring-default active 10 1004 fddinet-default active 8 1005 trnet-default active 9

The answer is VLAN 60 has shown below:

Port Name Status Vlan Level Duplex Speed Type

----- ------------------ ---------- ---------- ------ ------ ----- ------------ 6/47 notconnect 60 normal auto auto 10/100/1000

But why the sh vlan command reports it doesn't belong to any VLAN?

It has to do with it not being connected. However, my CatOS is too rusty to recall whether VTP plays a factor in this.

I forced the port to belong to the VLAN 60 again but still no effects. Could it be broken? How to check it out?

switch> (enable) set vlan 60 6/47 VLAN Mod/Ports

---- -----------------------

60 6/43-46,6/48 switch-ts-00> (enable) sh vlan VLAN Name Status IfIndex Mod/Ports, Vlans

---- -------------------------------- --------- ------- ------------------------

60 VLAN60 active 207 6/43-46,6/48

Many thanks,

Alex.
