Vic-E&M interface

Hi all,

I am very new to voice and I just bought 2 x NM-2V with some VIC-2E&M modules in it for my CVOICE CCVP lab. Question is how do I connect VIC-2E&M port to another VIC-2E&M port interms of physical layer? I understand that E&M uses RJ-48 ports, but to me it looks like just like another RJ-45. Can I use a RJ-45 cross cable or straight cable instead for type 1-3,5?

The E&M ports aren't the same as ethernet. There is a crossover that you will need to do, but its not a standard ethernet crossover.

Take a look at Cisco's E&M guides.
