I am a little bet confused on how to apply my traffic shapping rules
lets say I want to limit host 10.1.1.22 to 128kb
and i want to limit smtp trafic to 256kb
i can create to access lists one for all traffic going to 10.1.1.22 and one for smtp traffic
but if host 10.1.1.22 gets a lot of smtp traffic, what will happen?
will it be 128, 128+256 or 256kb?
wil the number of the access-list make a difference?
or how can make sure that 10.1.1.22 get only 128kb inlcuding smtp traffic?
i am thinking that i can apply different traffic shapping to the inside and ouside interface of my router that way both will work, but if anyone knows a better way please let me know thanks.
