Add two static route with same AD can enable your two links work together,but this is a bad idea.You cannot bundle two Internet links like FEC in LAN. I think you can not do it with Cisco`s device only. BTW,HSRP is a standby protocol,when it operates,only one router is active in the HSRP group at the same time.

Use IMA, MLPPP, CEF per-packet or CEF per-flow.

This depends alot on what your isp is willing to do for you and what sort of hardware you have on your side.

With a 2600 series (others as well but we use this in house for exactly this setup) you could enable ip cef and per-packet load sharing and you would route out all your packets evenly. Problem here is that the ISP will route all traffic back for any given source/destination pair on the same ATM regaurdless of which ATM you are sending on. To make this work both ways Your isp would need to config their side the same way. So what you really want for this setup would be 2 /30 networks ( one for each of your ATMs, wether the address is assigned to the pvc or a dialer) 2 static routes on your side pointing all unknow to the two interfaces where these /30s are assigned

eg.

0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 dialer 0 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 dialer 1

then enable ip cef per packet sharing on these interfaces. Your isp would do the same.

Another option if the isp is wiiling to do so is to setup your ATMs (I'm assuming these are DSL connections) using MLPPP

Keep in mind though what the max throuput that this box might be getting and make sure you are not reaching the limits of the CPU.

Curious, Fwed, what part of the white paper Aaron pointed you to made you conclude that "Cisco did not think to any solution." I found the document a well balanced, to the point explanation of the trade offs involved and the need to understand what you want and what you need before jumping to a solution.
