Network Module Question

Nov 17, 2006 1 Replies

Does the NM-1fe-tx fit in the 2620. I am getting conflicting reports. Cisco says no, other places say yes. Can anyone tell me? Or give me a place to look that is better than trying to dig through Cisco website. Also are there other fast ethernet modules that fit in the 2620? It is not an XM. Thanks very much.

Well, it fits, it won't work though.

The only plain LAN network-module interfaces that work in any 2600 (other than perhaps the 2691) are the NM-1E & NM-4E. You can get fancy with the switch NMs and get even a GigE port to work (although at pathetic speeds), but the NM-1FE-TX only works in the 36xx/37xx/38xx line.
