Cisco wins either way. If the net is not neutral Cisco can sell higher margin products to entrenched carriers who use anti-neutrality laws to extract monopoly profits from the market. If the net is neutral, Cisco still benefits but has to put up with a higher percentage of lower margin price-sensitive sales of commodity products to small ISPs.

So Cisco is acting on what is good for Cisco, not what is good for humanity, or for consumers, or for American competitiveness. Shame on them, but not surprising.

Here is John Chambers and Charlie Giancarlo lashing out at the big carriers for being slow to build out network infrastructure:

Yet, Cisco's Washington, D. C. office has "climbed in bed" with the big carriers AGAINST Net Neutrality Laws.

Cisco needs to terminate the people in its Washington office!
