Can't ping loopback address

I created a new loopback addres 10.100.0.1/.2 and I was not able to ping from one another. I can ping 10.19.0.1/2 and it works puzzling.

Why is your loopback a /16? Shouldn't it be a /32? Additionally, what are you pinging it from? Does the router with the loopback have a route back to the router that is pinging? Which interface is it using? It looks to me like both have a router to 100.0.0/16, via the same next hop, which doesn't make much sense if one owns it and the other does not?
