Need info on CCNA lab setup

I'm going to be studying for my CCNA soon and was wondering what all equipment I should buy to perform the labs and get hands-on experience? I plan on buying the equipment used on eBay.

Thanks Scott

Hi Scott

I have the following and it works for me:

I have a 2514 router, ideal because it has 2 x serial interfaces so it can be a frame relay switch, and 2 x ethernet ports. A 1721 router with 1 x serial and 1 x ethernet. A 1603 router also with one of each. And I have a 2950 switch As for ISDN stuff, I do not have a simulator, too expensive, I just buy some rack time with

Scott, I just passed my CCNA exam so let me share with you some of my experiences.

1) If you are thinking about pursuing more Cisco certifications after your CCNA, then it will probably be a good idea to go with Brad Reese or Den's suggestion of getting some hardware.

2) Otherwise, I'd say just go with Boson and Packet Tracer (Cisco's own network simulator), TestKing's practise exam, and a few of the Cisco books pertinent to your exam.

Just my two cents.
