Yup. That has been done. There is now an amp downstairs, right after the two way split, very near the other feeds into the house. I yet may activate one of them, and feed it into my now mostly unused (but still fairly decent) Linux workstation, if I every get ambitious enough to get around to installing "Myth TV" on it. :) (I have a rather ambitious friend who recently did that, and wrote a whole mess of S-lang scripts to run it via a remote. But I have a feeling he talks to his wife far less than I talk to mine...)
