I have several 3-way switches in my house Both Leviton and X10.com sell a special "slave" 3-way switch for use with their X10 (master) dimmer switches.
From the wiring diagrams it looks like the slave is wired just like any 3-way switch. From an electrical wiring perspective, it is not clear to me then why you can't just use a regular 3-way switch in the slave position rather special X10 switch for the slave.
Is that true?
