Sprint 256Kb DSL for $32/mo.? Is this a joke?

I'm pricing DSL in SW Florida and Sprint is coming up with $31.99/mo for

256K, and $41.99/mo for 1.5M. Up north, I can get SBC DSL at 1.5M for only $14.95/mo. Comcast HSI is also available in the area, but that runs about $40/mo. Anybody know if Sprint prices DSL this high across the country, or just SW Florida area?

Do you use the same DSL modem on 256k and 1.5M connection?

I suspect SBC DSL 1.5M @ $15 is a limited/discounted intro price to get new customers into DSL... look into it. Bellsouth runs $32-$40 for

1.5M.

You're right, SBC's is a one year term price, then the price reverts to the "current monthly pricing at the time" which today is $39 for 1.5M and $59 for 3.0M. But to date, this is the most agressive DSL pricing SBC has had, and they usually let you re-up at the same rate when the contract expires. They've got to be concerned with competition from the cable companies.
