Will _this_ cordless phone interfere with my WiFi?

I'm looking at a "2.4 GHz Frequency Hopped Spread Spectrum (FHSS)" phone handset from

, can anyone tell me if it's going to interfere with my WiFi network?

formatting link
tells me it will, but it may not matter, OSLT, and I can't seem to parse

802.11{b,g} modulation methods, though it looks like "b" is DSSS...

Thanks in advance for any thoughts. In an ideal world, I'd look for a WiFi SIP phone and a PBX to match, but I really need a plug-n-play COTS system...

Thanks!

It's going to interfere with your Wi-Fi network. Frequency hopping spread spectrum phones hop over the entire 2.4Ghz band. There are no clear channels with one of those around.

Sorry, I don't have any recommendations.

You might want to also look at VoIP SIP phones that use Bluetooth for wireless. If the Bluetooth is 1.2 or 2.0, it will coexist with Wi-Fi thanks to ADH (adaptive frequency hopping) which allows Bluetooth to avoid occupied channels.
