I have four fake WE 2500s sets on my inside wiring. When my inside wiring is connected to Verizon, I get a buzzing noise on my phones. If I touch my PowerBook while on the phone, the buzz gets louder. When my inside wiring is connected to my AT&T CallVantage box, and completely disconnected from VZ, my lines are clear.
Apparently there's something going on with my VZ service. A tech has been on site five times and says the lines are fine.
I'm noticing that my Keptel SNI-4600 NID isn't grounded in any way. Is this normal? Should it be grounded? I'm guessing its a grounding issue because of my touching my PowerBook and being able to make the problem worse.
Anyone have any suggestions?
