TRENTON, NJ -- Verizon Wireless has taken legal action against Belmar for allegedly delaying its plans to place 19 new cell poles along the Ocean Avenue boardwalk.
The telecommunications giant is seeking an immediate order so that it can begin installing the "small wireless facilities" in public right-of-way locations that span the 1.3-mile oceanfront, according to the complaint filed by Cellco Partnership (Verizon Wireless) on May 10 in U.S. District Court, Trenton.
