Verizon wanted $175 to cancel a service [telecom]

Soon after he signed up for it, Toms River resident Walter Hertz realized he didn't want, or need, the mobile hot spot service he bought from Verizon Wireless.

But unfortunately for him, he tried to return and cancel it more than 14 days later. If he had gone through with it, Verizon Wireless would have hit him with a $175 cancellation fee for his troubles. Hertz asked Press on Your Side for help.
