Verizon is fighting back against Hopewell Township's recent allegation that the company has continually neglected the township's copper wire telephone service while not providing sufficient broadband options like fiber-optic broadband service (FiOS).
Earlier this month, Hopewell Township officials sent a letter to the state Board of Public Utilities with a summary report of 156 "serious" and "chronic" telephone service complaints that the township compiled from its residents over the last three months. Complaints included: "line noise, static, crackling, buzzing, and intermittent service outages often associated with bad weather," according to previous reports.
