Sorry, you're right. But you have to go in to McDonald's to keep your hand on your card. It doesn't work that way in the drive through ... you have to hand it to the clerk.

Sonic, of course, is all outside (except for a few they're trying inside dining areas at, including one next to their new headquarters building in Oklahoma City. Don't know how it works inside, since I haven't been to it.
