|There's two separate issues. One is electronic payment, the other is |tracking. It's really true that ETC* is faster and cheaper, |particularly when they've installed equipment that allows toll |collection as people drive by at full speed.
Most of the turnpike gates in Oklahoma are intended to be passed at full speed. One near Newcastle, Oklahoma, has a sign "Ramp Speed 75." That's one where the lanes diverge and the non-cash lanes are to the side of the through (cash) lanes. Most other places the readers are over the main roadway and the cash lanes diverge.
