New Jersey residents want to know if Verizon can hear their protests now [telecom]

SEA ISLE CITY - Residents upset at plans to locate a cell phone tower at the city's premier recreational facility made sure council members heard them loud and clear Tuesday morning as they voiced their objections to the deal with Verizon.

"We're getting beat up everyday by waves," said Anthony Edwardi, a resident of the 7200 block of Central Avenue, mentioning microwaves and cell phone waves as what he believes to be unseen causes of cancers and autism. "We're being bombarded everyday. It's a silent killer."
