In Trenton, NJ, they're seeking developers to redo a vacant Bell Telephone building that once housed a switching office. A number of Verizon properties are now vacant, thanks to electronic switchgear and consolidation of operator, repair, and business office functions (though some properties remain in use to this day as central offices).

In downtown Philadelphia, a former Bell central office at 1835 Arch Street has been converted to luxury apartments. It retains its Bell logos:
