We have an opportunity to change the balance of power in this country. When the scales are tipped in favor of bosses and corporations, working people suffer. It's time for workers to unite and take the power back!
The Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act will make it easier for workers to organize, bargain, and strike, but it won't get passed and signed into law without a fight.
Join us tomorrow, March 4th, to make calls for the PRO Act!
The PRO Act has been introduced in Congress, so we need to make sure that our Representatives know that passing it is absolutely vital. Here are just a few ways that the PRO Act would help workers and strengthen unions:
- Bans unfair anti-union activities such as captive audience meetings
- Creates penalties and remedies for illegal retaliation like firing workers for organizing
- Prevents misclassifications of employees as independent workers and supervisors
- Protects the power to strike
- Allows secondary strikes and boycotts
8 Bans permanent replacement of striking worker
This would be game-changing for America's working families. We need to make sure that Congress gets the message: we must pass the PRO Act!
