Computer failure

The Dell laptop computer I usually use to prepare articles for publication was just returned from Dell's repair bureau, where it had gone to have one of the anti-skid feet replaced and the keyboard fixed.

The repair center didn't fix those problems, but they did erase the hard drive and reinstall Windoze. I do have backups, but as I'm fond of saying ...

"Backups are easy. It's restores that are hard!"

... which means that I'll be a bit off my feed for a few more days, while I try to regain a semblance of the system I had in place.
