CenturyLink customer warns of scams [telecom]

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- Deception, false promises and scare tactics; thieves will go to any lengths to get what they want.

One CenturyLink customer is warning of a new scam. One minute the phone is ringing, the next there's a strange voice on the other line.

"On Friday I received a phone call from someone representing themselves as CenturyLink," said that customer, Leo Killian. "He had a heavy accent from India."
