AT&T buys 520 Megawatts from NextEra sites [telecom]

UNITED STATES: Telecommunications company AT&T will buy power produced from 520MW of two wind farms in Oklahoma and Texas developed by subsidiaries of NextEra Energy Resources.

[AT&T] has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for 220MW from the Minco V wind farm in Caddo county, central Oklahoma, and for 300MW from the Torrecillas project which is spread across Webb and Duvall counties in southern Texas.

NextEra's Minco V was initially slated to come online this year, but has been delayed due to lawsuits with local landowners over the proximity of the site to their land. No update is given on NextaEra's project list on the developer's website, which was last updated on 31 December 2017.
