While Microsoft's offer of free Windows 10 upgrades officially expired years ago, there is still a way you can upgrade to the latest opera- ting system in time for Windows 7's End of Life expiry date on January 14.
Not only does this mean you can get Windows 10 without paying $120 for the upgrade, but it's also (sort of) legit, as Microsoft apparently knows of the loophole and wants people to use it, as the company would rather see people upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10, even if that means it doesn't get money from the upgrades.
