1,000 Verizon employees to move to Infosys [telecom]

Bengaluru - Around 1,000 Verizon employees in the U.S. and India are expected to transition to Infosys beginning [in] October. This follows the $700-million IT outsourcing deal Infosys won from the U.S. telecom giant, about which TOI reported last week.

Infosys will initialy rebadge a few hundred employees, who are subject matter experts, and is expected to offer them comparable and com- petitive compensation. Some employees fear that if they resist the offer, they could be laid off. Some are concerned about the quantum of severance payout.
