Catalyst 6500 help
Hi Guys,
I have to setup port spanning on works 6500. No one else has any Cisco knowledge and as Im half way through CCNA3 I was asked if I could help.
The switch is 300 miles away so I cant physically see whats going on. I gained access to it today through remote desktop on a laptop and then through the console port of the switch.
I was expecting to see IOS on there, but there is some real old OS running dont know if its catOS, sh ver didnt say it was. Half of IOS the commands I know dont work.
I managed to view the config with sh config but sh run or sh startup dont work.
Is there the equivalent of a running config and a startup config on this old OS, just in case I need to do a copy startup-config running- config if I stuff the spanning up.
