<Hopefully> Simple Catalyst 2950 Questions...
Greetings, It's been a few years since I've configured cisco switches, so I'm confused by a few newer concepts.
Scenario: I've got (2) 2950 48-port Catalyst switches, each with stacking GBIC and one stacking cable connecting them.
- I was trying out the "Network Assistant" tool (I know..should just use cli) and allowed it to define the GBIC port as a SMARTSLOT and added it to VLAN1.
Question: Should I just leave that GBIC port alone and not use the SMARTSLOT feature?
- Is it worthwhile putting these in a cluster or is it flakey?
- From the cli, 'copy run start' didn't work. Is there some new command to copy/save the config?
