Upgradeable system

We moved in to a new house three months ago. During the design/construction, we tried to make the new home "future proof" by running lots of CAT-5 and RG-6 cable. We have two RG-6 and CAT5 to every possible video location, plus 14/4 wire to all speaker locations, back to the theater room. We designated a central wiring closet for all services to connect, along with wiring to a theater room for whole-house audio/video. We have CAT5 and 14/4 speaker wire from wall box locations back to the theater room. After all that, we are short on funds for buying all the equipment necessary to operate the systems to their full potential. What we would like to do is use the system the best way now which will also allow for future expansion. Ideally, we would like to buy the Russound CAV6, but can't do so right away. My question is: Can we purchase wall controllers that will allow us to have remote access (through the CAT5) for TV's and audio in each room, but not have the separate zones and other features that the Russound would allow? Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks. Rick
