Software-based clustering, load balancing--issues?

I am attempting to troubleshoot some connectivity issues with a Microsoft SQL Server cluster and some IIS-based web sites using the built-in Windows load balancing service, all behind a Cisco PIX firewall. It seems as if there are issues with MAC addresses changing during the SQL cluster failover (or when the load balanced web cluster comes up)--has anyone else run into this? If so, what workarounds have you employed?

TIA for your help.

Sounds like a PIX vs Virtual MAC addresses issue.

That was my thought as well. Now the question is: What is the workaround? What is the fix?
