pix firewall + nfs

Aug 09, 2005 1 Replies

Hi All,

I've got a cisco pix firewall version 6.2, and I''m trying to mount an nfs share from the external network onto a server on the internal network.

When I type:

mount -t nfs external_server://path/to/nfs/share /mnt/nfs

I see the nfs share gets mounted, but the mount command doesn't exit, it just remains in a suspended state, as though its waiting for something. This happens with or with out the following conduit rules:

conduit permit udp host external_server eq 111 any conduit permit udp host external_server eq 2049 any

Could any one please help me with this problem?

Many thanks Shaz
