I have a question about VLAN's. What type of situation would cause a VLAN to slow down network traffic (example: sending an executable file of 4MB from VLAN 1 to VLAN 2 or VLAN 3,4,5 or whatever). I'm curious to see what type of configurations for VLANS or situations would cause this to happen. Thanks in advance for replying.

Transfering information between VLANs requires routing. Your question then essentially becomes, "What type of situation would cause routing to be slower than switching" ?
