Spanning Tree Algorithm

Hi All, I have basically understood the basics of the Spanning Tree Algorithm, but is there some website which thoroughly explains the algorithm along with some dry runs through it. I found a lot of java applets on the web describing other algorithms like AVL trees and Red Black Trees, was just hoping if there is a similar applet for STP Thanks in advance
