VPN-Client & Pix 515, dropping connection


the VPN connection between the Cisco VPN Client and the Cisco Pix 515 drops very often and I am not sure about the reason. We noticed the following:

- the problem occured after the upgrade to version 7.1-2 of the Pix software.

- at the same time we blocked ICMP traffic. With the above two things VPN connections dropped after around seven minutes. Then we downgraded to to 7.1-1 and since then the connections are more stable. Nevertheless VPN connections drop after various times, e.g. 20 minutes or 30 minutes. This applies to connections via UDP. Thus, is some icmp traffic necessary to keep the VPN connections up?
