VoIP, Exchange, subject line, & WAV

our school district just installed yesterday cisco VoIP and it's storing vmail messages on the Exchange server as .WAV attachments.

Question - when receiving an outside call into vmail, the number is listed in the Subject line, but listed as "unidentified". I'm guessing internal calls to vmail will match up users...

Is there any way to build a xref list for outside callers... ie parent names ?

Also - just out of curiousity, is there a way to use other codec techniques besides WAV since those are uncompressed and take up a lot of space and bandwidth as attachments.
