one of my customers tries to implement his own version of multicast. His serveres send hello-messages with src-ip of the server and dst-ip
228.111.0.1. As testetd in a flat network all other servers get those MCs and work so far. The difference in this case is that the servers send no IGMP-messages. When now implemented in a routed network the hellos dont work anymore network-wide.
Beside that a best-practice implementation of MC works in sparse mode.
any suggestions to implement such a scenario?
