Proxy with PIX

I want to have a transparent Proxy in the PIX DMZ, so whenever someone from inside wants to access the internet, the PIX automatically (only for http) redirects to the Proxy, and the Proxy processes.

Someone knows how to redirect in the PIX (only to http traffic)?

Thanks.

the pix does not support WCCP, if that's what you mean ?

I might add, that the pix will not sent any icmp redirects. in short - what you want to do you can not with a pix, Why have the proxy transparant ?

Use your router to wccp your internal network vlan to the proxies 1st nic then from the proxies 2nd nic go back to the router and an external vlan and then to your pix. I do this with a 6509.

I have lots of computers behind the firewall, and used by very different types of users, so I would prefer to use the proxy without any configuration on the client side.

What do you mean by WCCP?

its a protocol, used to intercept traffic, and forward it to the proxy.

This will give you an overview of WCCP. You don't have to configure anything on the clients.
