Cisco has a DC version of the 3550 switch with model number WS-C3550-24-DC-SMI. Strangely, the redundant power on the Cisco AC products is also DC, using a proprietary power connector that works with the Cisco Redundant power products (e.g., RPS 300, RPS 675, RPS 2300, etc).
Does any third party vendor make an adapter that would take a telco -48V power input and convert this to the proprietary DC pinout used on Cisco's
3550 switches with the RPS DC input? I'm trying to use the cheaper WS-C3550-24-SMI switch in a DC application, without involving an inverter to feed AC input to the Cisco RPS products.
