Cisco ASA L2 Decode Drops

Hi All,

I have a Cisco ASA running (7.2.3) and am encountering on one of the interfaces, L2Decode Drops. This interface is configured with subinterfaces containing 5 different vlans. Upon investigation of this problem some of the suggestions were that vlans not configured on the interface were attempting to access devices that was not permitted. I have verified that the switch and ASA are trunking the correct vlans. The cable has also been changed but the counters are continually increasing. The ACL was also changed to allow all traffic through but this also didn't solve our issue. System admins are complaining that the service they are receving is bursty and slow. We have another interface configured the same way which doesn't display these symptoms.

Any suggestions to assist in rectifying this issue would be greatly appreciated.

TIA.

Jack.
